Pamirs highlights, Tajikistan : Pamir Highway, the second highest international highway in the world – The Pamir Mountains – Ak-Baital pass on the border of the Republic of Tajikistan (GBAO region) and Kyrgyzstan with an elevation of 4.655-meter – Karakul Lake/crater that lies at an elevation of 3,960 m (Higher than Lake Titicaca in Peru/Bolivia) – Iskanderkul Lake or Lake of Alexander the Great – Murghab, the highest city in Central Asia – Wakhan Corridor, shared with Afghanistan, gathering the most stunning landscapes in the country – The stretch of road between Khargush Pass and Langar is the most scenic on this route – Yamchun fortress is one of the gems and true highlights of the Wakhan valley and the Pamirs – Bibi Fatima Hot Springs.
